SQL QUERY SEARCH FORMUsing SQL queries is another method offered for searching the Metalloprotein Database (MDB). To use a SQL query, one must be familiar with the SQL language and the MDB table structure. We have provided SQL query examples in both English and SQL languages. SQL help and information is furnished for the commands most used when doing a SQL query. If you are not familiar with SQL queries, or need a refresher, please use the links above before beginning your search. Users of the MDB cannot insert, delete or update information in the database. The SELECT statement is the command needed for searching the database. Please see SQL Help link above for information on what SQL commands are available for use in your queries. NEW: you can also perform queries using the "SHOW" and "DESCRIBE" commands, e.g. "SHOW tables" will return a list of the tables in the MDB, and "DESCRIBE site" will display the schema for the "site" table. Enter your SQL query (only SELECT, SHOW and DESCRIBE supported): Note: Only SELECT, SHOW or DESCRIBE queries can be performed, any other command will generate and error |
